Bio/Interests:

Amy Dillon grew up in a small town on the Oregon coast. After earning her BA in psychology from Dartmouth College, she performed research at the National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in Boston and worked as an intern for a Massachusetts State Senator before entering the CDAE program.

Amy's research interest centers around the long-term viability of rural communities as it relates to the concentration of their economic base. Specifically, she wishes to explore how towns dependent on a single industry fare over time, as well as what factors may contribute to the reconstruction of the local labor market if that industry should fail.
