Minghao was born in north-east China, a similarly cold place to Vermont. Having learned seven years of Physics, he decided to switch to economics, because he realized that the study of human activities is what really interested him. He left the idea of defining an "Area of Interest" open because economics is such a great new field for him and he finds many topics exciting. It would be perfunctory to call whatever work at hand an "Area of interest" and he feels that if he can give a definite answer to this question by the time he graduates from CDAE, he will consider that a major accomplishment.
