Kate Fitzsimmons graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Sociology. Kate joined the CALS Dean’s Office in February of 2024. Previously, Kate worked as a consultant in the travel industry, working with high schools across the U.S. to establish international travel programs. She has also worked in the higher education space to introduce survey software to help universities collect information and use feedback to make data-driven decisions about the student experience.
Kate is the Student Services Event Specialist at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She assists the Associate Dean with coordination and scheduling of various events, including Admitted Student Visit Days, First Year Orientation Events, Fall Open Houses and Commencement. Kate’s goal is to make sure every CALS student feels welcome and supported as they move through their college career.
