Vermont Certified Public Manager Program participants may transfer up to 6 credits into a UVM graduate program. 

The VCPM program is available to State of Vermont and municipal employees, and is accredited by the National Certified Public Manager Consortium. Admissions is managed through the Center for Achievement in Public Service.

VCPM participants may opt to get graduate credit through the UVM Master of Public Administration program or the Certificate of Graduate Studies in Community Resilience and Planning. Credits can also be used toward other UVM graduate programs as appropriate.

Process for turning VCPM modules into credit

  • If you wish to pursue credit, contact Julie Starr, Graduate Student Services Coordinator, to set up a meeting.
  • In order to receive credit, you will complete three assignments that demonstrate how your VCPM deliverables meet the MPA learning competencies (docx).
  • Examples and a timeline will be provided.
