Rose Feenan, MPA Candidate

Rose was born in Swanton, VT and graduated in 1984 from Castleton University with a BS in Business Administration and Management.  After working in the banking industry for a few years, she moved to Brattleboro, VT and began her career in the non-profit sector.  As Director of Sponsored Programs at World Learning and the School for International Training she was responsible for the administrative aspects of managing a $106 million portfolio of international development projects.  In this role she worked with individuals in Africa and Asia and had the opportunity to visit international development projects in Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Cameroon and Cambodia.  In 1998, she moved to the Burlington, VT area with her husband Gerry and sons Sean and Connor and began working at the University of Vermont as a Budget Analyst.  With a desire to continue to use her skills in Research Administration, she accepted a position in the UVM Larner College of Medicine as Administrative Director in Pathology.  In 2006, she accepted a position as Assistant Dean of Operations in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources and continues to develop management and leadership skills in academic operations.
