Emily was raised in Danvers, Massachusetts alongside her brother Brendan, a fellow UVM undergrad. She began her working career in 2016 on a local farm, sparking her interest in food systems and community development. Emily began her college career at Bentley University as a Public Policy student and transferred to UVM in the fall of 2021. She is expected to graduate from UVM with a bachelor’s degree in Community & International Development in 2024. Since coming to UVM, she has worked as a Communications Intern with Guyer Group, as well as a Nonprofit Business & Marketing Intern with Connor’s Kindness Project. Her interests include affordable housing, tenant-based assistance, social enterprises, and inclusionary zoning policy.
