Premila Peters has been appointed CFO of Global X-Ray, a division of GE Healthcare. She provides financial leadership and business partnership for the Global X-Ray business. She is also responsible for directing the finance function, translating concepts, developing strategy, and implementing change to achieve business objectives in Beijing, China. Prior to joining GE, Peters was the Chief Operating Officer and Director or Research with KDP Investment Advisors, a high yield bond research company based in Montpelier, Vermont and an Auditor with KPMG LLC in Burlington, Vermont.
Peters completed her graduate studies at the University of Vermont receiving a Master's degree in Business Administration in 1994. "I will always be indebted to UVM for giving me an excellent foundation in finance," said Peters. "I have been able to use these skills in all my roles which have ranged from audit to securities analysis to corporate finance. One of the most important lessons I received in Kalkin Hall was to always ask myself the question 'does this make sense?' when present with a certain set of facts or figures."
Peters graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Bombay. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
