UVM Team Makes Final Four!
- By John M Turner
Last week, 4 School of Business Administration students accompanied by their faculty advisor and coach Dr. Jie Zhang competed in the Royal Roads University International Undergraduate Case Competition (RRUIUCC) in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
A total of 20 schools competed across 3 days, with only 4 teams advancing to the final round on Saturday and UVM was one of them!
Going into the final round, UVM was in third place, and earned the highest marks out of all schools on the very difficult no-PowerPoint ‘Creative Case Challenge’; intense practice over the prior 2 weekends served the team well here. The final round presentations were streamed live via www.livestream.com/royalroads and can still be viewed there.
Ultimately, your UVM team came in fourth behind Dublin Institute of Technology, Alberta School of Business and the University of Southern Indiana. We are very proud of our students, whose reputation on the case competition circuit is growing with every event we compete in.
This team spent many weekends preparing and practicing for this event, and their top place finish at the RRUIUCC competition was deserved and a testament to their hard work and creativity.
Please congratulate your UVM team: Arran (Charles) Joyce, Amelia Traynor, Ben Vaughan and Robyn Worrall!
