The School of Business Administration is pleased to welcome 16 students from the Facultad de Administración, Universidad de los Andes, in Bogotá, Colombia for the 1st Program on Global Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
The group will spend a week in Burlington visiting local companies including Seventh Generation, NRG Systems and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. They will also participate in customized lectures and case analyses, as well as interact with our MBA students.
"The UdeLosAndes program is an integral element of our increasing focus on sustainable business, global business and entrepreneurship in our curriculum and academic experience," said Dean Sanjay Sharma, of the School of Business Administration. “The faculty, staff and students are excited to work with and learn from the UdeLos Andes students and to share ideas that affect today’s global economy. We look forward to a lasting relationship between our two Schools.”
“We want our students to have as many exchanges with international students and programs as we can,” said Dr. William Cats-Baril, director of the MBA program at the School of Business Administration. “These visits allow for free interaction between our students and peers studying the same issues in a different country. Our hope is that this Program on Global Sustainable Entrepreneurship will be a bilateral relationship.”
The Colombian students will arrive in Burlington on Sunday, September 23 and will stay through Friday, September 28, 2012.
