INTEGRATED HUMANITIES PROGRAM ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM
The purpose of the IHP is to offer all College of Arts & Sciences students at UVM the basis of a liberal arts education, regardless of what they go on to major in or their future field of work. The IHP offers three yearlong courses in the History of Ideas, World Literature, and major thinkers, ideas, and texts in Philosophy/Religion. Course material is taught in small interactive seminars. All faculty teaching in the IHP have received the prestigious Kroepsch-Maurice Award for Outstanding Teaching.
The IHP is time-tested, the most senior of the integrated programs, and most importantly, is welcoming to all students who care about ideas and other people.
Admission to the IHP is based on student interest, student commitment, and the good will in a challenging program.
