We're a college within a college. As an Arts and Sciences student at UVM, you'll have the advantages of a small liberal arts college AND a leading university with superb resources at your disposal.
You'll have opportunities to combine studies in liberal arts with business, life sciences, education, and other areas if you choose. With faculty sponsorship, you can also pursue an individually designed major.
You'll get personal attention through programs like our TAP first-year seminars, where class sizes are limited and faculty advising and student interaction are maximized.

At UVM, you'll have exceptional opportunities to engage in research, if that interests you. We also offer tailored advising and practical experience for students in medicine, law, dentistry, physical therapy, and veterinary studies.
UVM's "just right" enrollment size will make you feel connected, but not confined. You'll meet students from all over the country (more than 60 percent are from out of state) studying in diverse disciplines and involved in wide-ranging clubs, sports, community service, and other activities.
