New CAS Faculty
Anthony Grudin
Assistant Professor of Art History
Anthony's research focuses on the challenges of late modern cultural production and reproduction, with an emphasis on the ways in which these challenges are visualized in Andy Warhol’s appropriations of mass culture. Other current projects center on Alberto Giacometti, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Nikki S. Lee. Anthony's work often returns to the question of art's place in a wider world of desires and differences. He looks forward to collaborating on current and future projects with students and faculty at UVM.
In his spare time, Anthony can be found searching out delicious new things to eat, watching movies, and practicing Hatha Yoga. He is excited about pursuing these hobbies in Burlington, and learning to ski.
