WWW Browser
You can also use a web browser on any Internet connected computer to access
your Zoo or Active Directory files. Note that such access in the case of Active
Directory is read-only, you cannot upload or modify files already uploaded.
Zoo
Note that there is a bug in the PHP processing software installed on Zoo
that can sometimes prevent a web browser from displaying anything when you've
connected to your Zoo space using the instructions below. The issue is that
the PHP process hangs when you have exactly 32, or 64, or 128, etc objects
in the directory you are trying to display. If this happens to you, log onto
your account using SSH SFTP or Fetch and either move, delete or add one
file or directory in order to push the total over or under one of these "magic"
numbers.
- Start any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox
or Apple Safari.
- In the Location field, enter the following URL:
https://www.uvm.edu/files
(NOTE that this is a secure site and thus you have to enter https, not just
http)
and press Enter or Return.
- The browser will request your UVM netID and password:

Enter your UVM netID and password, then click Ok.
- The following window will appear:

You may navigate through your space, create directories, upload, download and
delete files using the Action icons to the right and the fields at the bottom
of the screen.
CAMPUS Active Directory
- Start any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox
or Apple Safari.
- In the Location field, enter the following URL:
https://webfiles.uvm.edu/
(NOTE that this is a secure site and thus you have to enter https,
not just http)
- Then press Enter or Return. The browser will request your UVM netID and
password:

Enter your UVM netID and password, then click OK.
- The following window will appear:

- Note that you can't do much here except download files. Your personal directory
can be found under "home" and
your departmental shared directory under "shared".
