Build resilience & flexibility for farming in the long-run. Learn how to take care of your body and set up systems on the farm to support your whole farm crew's health.

This training will include hands-on learning opportunities that showcase ways to approach farm tasks that also protect your health, tool adaptations to support safety and efficiency, & techniques to implement changes at your farm that build a culture of wellbeing.

*Lunch is included with your purchase of an event ticket.

*This event will include simultaneous interpretation into Hmong/Hmoob.

Topics:

  • Ergonomics & Body Mechanics: learn how to move right to avoid injury
  • Tool Selection & Modification: having the right tools that fit your body is key
  • Farm Safety Culture: address physical & environmental risks that exist around you
  • Networking lunch, & optional self-guided farm tour between sessions

Tickets are priced on a sliding-scale basis; please select a price point that you are comfortably able to pay based on your available resources. A limited number of scholarships are available for those requesting financial assistance. There is also an option to add an additional amount as a donation to the MVEG Network, to help us cover event costs.
