Cultivating a Culture of Safety on Your Farm

This active learning workshop is designed to equip farmers with language, tools, and skills to establish and develop a culture of safety in their business.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Choose equipment that suits body types, shapes, and abilities;
  • Meet the ergonomic needs of the people who work on your farm;
  • Build safety systems that help to prevent injuries and lost work time.

Participants will also to explore how they might shop for or modify equipment, and practice providing instruction and conversations with employees about health and safety topics.

Fees & Registration:

Advance registration is required. Sign up for either the morning or afternoon session. The same content and activities will be offered at both sessions.

This workshop is offered at no cost to participants.

There is a $10 entry fee for the Farm and Forest Expo. You can pay at the gate or pre-purchase tickets. Parking is free.
