Group Information Sessions and Tours

Get a glimpse of all that UVM offers by attending an information session and student-guided walking tour of central campus (unless otherwise noted, these sessions start at Admissions Visitors Center, 184 South Prospect Street). The program generally lasts two hours.

  • January 16–April 29 most weekdays
  • Saturdays: February 7, 14, 21; March 14, 21; April 4, 11, 18

Transfer Information Sessions and Tours

This program is for prospective transfer students who are interested in learning more about the many opportunities at the University of Vermont. The session will include an overview of UVM and the admissions process, specific for transfer students, followed by a student-led walking tour of campus. The tour lasts about 75 minutes; plan to spend two hours with us. Students are encouraged to bring unofficial transcripts. If further evaluation is needed, students are welcome to leave their transcripts for advisement and unofficial transfer credit evaluations.

Admitted Student Information Sessions (ASIS)

Can't make it to one of our ASV Days? We offer a shorter program on selected dates. Our ASIS program includes a short presentation with an admissions counselor and a current student, a student panel and a tour of campus — all tailored to admitted students.

Passport to UVM

Passport to UVM is an exciting new program for international students living and attending high school in the United States. Students stay overnight with current UVM students, attend a class, participate in workshops on college and the application process, and meet with UVM faculty, staff and current students. Research Vermont for Instate Juniors (by invitation only)

High-achieving high school juniors in Vermont who have been identified by the Office of Admissions are invited to a program starting at 9 a.m. that includes an academic overview of UVM, lunch on campus, time at the conference listening to our exceptional undergraduates present their research findings, and an optional campus tour. Learn about the admissions process and scholarship offerings.

Learn About CALS: Ask the Students

Join us for an information session run by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Representatives. These sessions will be held on select Fridays from 12:15-1:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Room 002:

  • January, 16, 23 and 30
  • February 6 and 27
  • March 13 and 27
  • April 3
  • May 1

This session is a great opportunity to ask current CALS students about the various majors and minors in the college, clubs and societies you may want to join, and just general information or questions you may have. These Friday sessions will be a great addition before or after your Admissions tour; students and families can feel free to drop in at Morrill Hall (Room 002) between 12:15-1:30 p.m.

Academic Information Sessions

On select days in the summer, we offer Academic Information Sessions in all seven school and colleges from 12:30–1:30p.m, in conjunction with Group Information Sessions and Tours.

These one hour sessions offer a more in-depth look at our academic programs. These are offered concurrently, so visitors may only attend one session.

  • August 1, 4, 8

Participating UVM schools and colleges: All seven schools and colleges are participating. College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and Social Services, College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources and the School of Business.

Vermont In Person (VIP) Days

High school seniors see the University of Vermont in action. Our VIP program includes a presentation by our Admissions staff, panel discussions, a campus tour, as well as class visit options for the prospective student. Reservations are required for VIP days. Discovering UVM

Students from underrepresented groups explore UVM during this two-day program on campus. This event has limited space and students must submit an application. Learn more about the program.
