Group Information Sessions and Tours

Get a glimpse of all that UVM offers by attending an information session and student-guided walking tour of central campus. The program generally lasts two hours.

Open Houses

Note: Fall 2012 Open House dates will be available this spring.

Our open house program includes an Admissions presentation, campus facilities and residence hall tours, academic and student services fairs and student panels. Arrive at 7:45 a.m. and plan to be with us until noon.

Vermont In Person (VIP) Days

Note: Fall 2012 VIP dates will be available this spring.

High school seniors see the University of Vermont in action. Our VIP program includes a presentation by our Admissions staff, panel discussions, a campus tour, as well as class visit options for the prospective student and a panel for parents. Reservations are required for VIP days. Arrive at 8:30 a.m. and plan to be with us until noon.

Discovering UVM

  • October 23-25, 2011
  • November 6-8, 2011

Admitted Student Visit Days (ASV)

Admitted Student Visit Days are offered each spring to admitted students and their families. This day-long program is designed exclusively with accepted students in mind. Learn more.

Our Admitted Student Visit Days 2012 are: February 17, 24*; March 23; April 6, 9, 13, 16 and 20.

*Note: The February 24 event is now full.

Admitted Student Information Sessions (ASIS)

Can't make it to one of our ASV Days? We offer a shorter program on selected dates. Our ASIS program includes a short presentation with an admissions counselor and a current student, a student panel and a tour of campus - all tailored to admitted students.

Note: We strongly encourage students to attend an Admitted Student Visit Day (ASV) since the ASIS program does not include academic sessions.

2012 ASIS dates are: March 2, 12, 17, 24, 30; April 14, 18, 23, 24 and 26

Jump-Start for Juniors

Chat with a UVM Student

Optional, informal conversations with one of our AdvoCat student admissions representatives are a great opportunity to learn more about UVM. These 20-minute, one-on-one chats are designed to answer your questions from a student perspective. Please call (802) 656-3370 to make an appointment.

Other Visit Options

If you wish to attend a class or meet with a faculty member during the academic year, please call Jane Welcome at (802) 656-3373. Two weeks notice requested. Individual visits may be limited during busy times.
