Congratulations on your admission to the University of Vermont

Admitted Student Visit Days (ASV) 2010

February 12, 19
March 19
April 5, 12, 16 19, 23

This program for admitted students and family members allows you to experience a day on campus. How you spend the day is partly up to you!

Check in: Your day begins with a light breakfast and registration at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Burlington (adjacent to UVM). We will shuttle you to campus for our admissions welcome, which will be followed by an academic presentation given by the UVM college or school to which you are admitted.

Design your day's schedule: After our academic presentations, you design your day on campus choosing from:

  • Facilities tours
  • Presentations on financial aid, career services and study abroad
  • Open houses in many of our academic departments
  • Residence hall tours — see where you might live first-hand
  • Student panels — bring your questions!
  • A session on enrolling, orientation programs and what happens next
  • A chance to get your UVM ID photo card

We want you to experience what it's like to be a UVM student, which is why meeting current students and faculty is a priority in most of the above visit day options.

Reserve your spot for an Admitted Student Visit Day (ASV)

Register for an Admitted Student Visit Day (ASV) in our online reservation system.

We suggest registering at least two weeks in advance, as many programs fill up quickly. If you have specific questions about the program, call (802) 656-4510 or (802) 656-4647. Please let us know if you require accommodations for a physical disability.

Upon receiving your reservation, we'll send you more detailed information about the day. As noted, registration is at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center.

Can't make these dates? See our Campus Visits page for other options.

Find a place to stay

UVM maintains a list of local hotels and contact information. The Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center offers discounted rates for families attending our admitted student program, space is limited.

Please note: The above programs are offered exclusively to admitted students and their families. We regret that we are unable to accommodate individuals on our wait list and others at these events. However, all students are welcome to any of our regular group information sessions.

Can't make it to an ASV?

For admitted students and families who cannot attend one of our full ASV days, we offer shorter Admitted Student Information Sessions (ASIS) on selected dates this spring. The ASIS includes a short presentation with an admissions counselor, a student panel and a tour of campus — all tailored to admitted students.
