The Graduate College at the University of Vermont enrolls more than 1,300 students annually in 52 master's programs and 21 doctoral programs. A notable feature of the college is that many programs are interdisciplinary, drawing from the strength and expertise of different departments and their faculty.

Formally established in 1952, the Graduate College is responsible for all advanced degree programs except the program leading to the degree of Doctor of Medicine.
