Notetaker, Academic Support Programs/ACCESS

Wouldn't it be nice to be paid, just to go to class and take notes?  Well - ACCESS has the job for you!  ACCESS supports students with disabilities and is need of notetakers for specific classes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Attend each class (unless there is a test or exam), type your notes and email them to a designated address!  You do not need to be enrolled in the class.  This is a perfect way to 'test drive' a class!

Classes we need notetakers for:

Lab Coordinator, Universal Design Technology Lab, Bailey-Howe Library

The lab coordinator works to support the note taking system (converting, sorting and renaming; PDF, word documents and html files to be uploaded to the notes website.

Learn aspects and usage of of adaptive technology, including text to speech and speech to text programs.  Lab employees assist students and faculty with the note taking program and teaching other students how to use different kinds of technology found in the UDTL.
