COOK ROADWAY
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Reconstruction of the Cook shuttle route from Colchester Avenue to the South end of Kalkin Hall.
DURATION OF WORK:
Thursday July 26, 2012 – Friday September 14, 2012
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Construction crews will begin working at Colchester Avenue and move South towards Kalkin Hall. The
project will be broken into three phases. Initial impacts will be localized to the entrance at Colchester
Avenue to the Perkins Building. During this time one way traffic will be maintained to allow access into
the Votey parking area. Phase two will extend from the Perkins building to the North end of Kalkin Hall.
During phase two there will be no access to the Fleming loading dock. Lastly, phase three will extend from the North end of Kalkin Hall to the South end of Kalkin Hall.
Central campus will remain accessible from the North by utilizing the Billings roadway. Please see the attached site map for clarification.
Heavy machinery and large construction vehicles will be onsite daily.
REDSTONE CAMPUS:
Independent student housing offering 400 beds on Redstone campus, construction will begin April 16 2011 and will be completed by August 2012
Davis Road from the intersection of University Heights Road to the PFG Complex will be closed during construction. During the week of April 25th, 2011, construction in University Heights Road will affect traffic. One lane of traffic will be kept open during this time.

University Green Walkway Project

This includes site work on the walkways at the center of the Main Green in the area around the
fountain (see map below). The existing asphalt walkways in this area will be completely
removed, new stone sub-base material added, and new finished concrete installed. Walkway elevations will be adjusted to eliminate low points thereby addressing the drainage issues on the
walks.
DURATION OF WORK:
Work will resume, weather permitting between April 1 - May 1, 2012.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Fencing will guide pedestrians around the construction area. Please follow all signage on site as
walkway detours will exist as the construction progresses through the Green. There will be shallow
excavation to remove the existing walkway surface and to add the new sub-base.
Waterman
Main enterance waterproofing
DURATION OF WORK
Wed. July 25. 2012 - Friday September 7, 2012
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The main Entrance to the Waterman Building from South Prospect Street will be closed beginning
Wednesday July 25, 2012 and will remain closed until Monday August 6, 2012. The two entrances North
and South of the main entrance will remain open throughout the project.
The existing granite stone pavers will be removed to allow for waterproofing of the surface below. There
will be a considerable amount of noise and vibration as a result of this work.
Temporary stairs will be constructed once the granite pavers have been removed and the entrance will be
re-opened.

DURATION OF WORK
July 2, 2012 – September 27, 2012
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Monday July 2, 2012 crews will be onsite erecting scaffolding. This will take place along the West
elevation of the Waterman building.
The week of Monday July 9, 2012 crews will begin the demolition of the upper flat roof. This work is
expected to create substantial amounts of noise. Weather dependent, this work should only last several
days.
The entrance to Waterman at the North-East gable end will be closed beginning July 2, 2012 through July
13, 2012 for paint restoration. All other entrances to the Waterman building will remain open during
construction.
DELEHANTY WATERLINE UPGRADE
WHAT IS HAPPENING
A new section of waterline will be installed on Trinity campus. The new section of waterline will tie into
the existing system on the North-East side of Farrell Hall and run to the South end of Delehanty Hall.
DURATION OF WORK:
July 2, 2012 – July 27, 2012
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Monday July 2, 2012 mobilization and site preparation will begin.
Thursday July 5, 2012 the site contractor will begin excavating the trench for the new waterline. This work
will begin at the North-East end of Farrell Hall and move South-West towards Delehanty Hall.
A single day water shutdown will be required in order to tie the new waterline into the existing system.
This shutdown will only affect Delehanty Hall. The shutdown will occur the week of July 16, 2012.
