Planning ahead enables you to design a schedule that takes your disability into account.
The Schedule of Courses (SOC) for Spring 2010 can be found at the following website: http://giraffe.uvm.edu/~rgweb/batch/swrsectc_spring_soc_201001/menu.html
1. Now is the time to contact your ACADEMIC ADVISOR. If you are unsure who your advisor is, contact your Dean’s Office Student Services Office.

You can work together with an advisor to develop a schedule that fits your academic goals by discussing your major/minor, requirements, options, and by asking questions/bringing forth concerns you may have. 2. After you meet with your advisor, you may choose to contact your ACCESS Specialist to discuss how your schedule intersects with your disability and how your course selection may impact the accommodations you request in the Spring Semester.
Note: Some accommodations will take the entire winter break to set up – if this is the case for you, be in touch with your Specialist sooner rather than later. Call 656-7753 to set up an appointment with your Specialist.
PRIORITY REGISTRATION FOR SPRING SEMESTER 2010 IS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16. PLEASE READ TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE. (NOTE: you will not be able to see your status until November 11, 2009) Priority registration is a service, not an entitlement. Priority Registration is provided to ACCESS students who are currently engaging in contacts with our office.
If you have NOT been in contact with your ACCESS Specialist THIS SEMESTER, by Friday November 6, 2009, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE PRIORITY REGISTRATION. **Students who are currently Studying Abroad will be eligible for Priority Registration IF they have been in communication with their Specialist.**
