Women's and Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary program comprising faculty and courses in more than a dozen disciplines. Instruction topics cover a range: anthropology, economics, gender issues, political science, literature, art and music. Majors and minors take an introductory course and a senior seminar in feminist theory, and may develop self-designed concentrations.
Real-world work experience is gained through internships available at several local nonprofit and advocacy organizations. Most majors seek to improve the lives of others and, upon graduation, seek professions that allow them to do so.
