The European Studies Program provides undergraduates with the rare opportunity to pursue a traditionally graduate-level course of study. One of seven areas of study and five majors in the Area and International Studies Program, European Studies comprises more than 50 faculty members who teach courses in more than a dozen disciplines as they pertain to Western, Northern and Mediterranean countries.
Students focus on European culture and thought, history and society and European languages. Most study abroad for at least one semester at one of many affiliated universities throughout the European continent and surrounding islands. Graduates work and live in countless international cities, enjoying successful careers in international business, journalism, humanitarian relief and other fields.
