ENVS 101 – Academic Planning Workshop

Credits: 1.00

Course Description: Individual investigation and design of major plan in Environmental Studies with emphasis on academic and career choices. Prerequisites: ENVS 001, ENVS 002; Environmental Studies major.

Section Description: This educational enhancement seminar serves two primary purposes. 1) Community-building: Students in environmental studies are coming from CAS, CALS, and RSENR. This course connects peers to each other to grow the strength of the environmental program community. 2) High-impact learning: What students learn in their coursework is a good foundation of knowledge. The next step is to put that education into action. We explore different opportunities such as study abroad, internships, research, etc. by bringing in guests from around campus that specialize in these opportunities.
