MMG 312 - Eukaryotic Molecular Genetics

The use of lower eukaryotes, such as the yeasts Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Schizosaccharomyces pombe, as model genetic systems to answer questions of basic biological importance. Prerequisite: Introductory Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics and/or Cell and Molecular Biology, and permission of Coordinator. Alternate years. Spring.
