Literary and stylistic analysis of prose works by Tieck, Kleist, Stifter, Gotthelf, Droste-Hulshoff, Storm, Keller, and Hauptmann with emphasis on Romanticism, Poetic Realism, and Naturalism. Prerequisite: 155 or 156 and one other 100-level course.
