Counseling (Post-Master's Certificate)
Overview
The Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling is designed for an individual with a Master's Degree in Counseling to develop further professional skills in a specialized area. Program planning is done with the help of a faculty advisor, but the C.A.S. candidate retains primary responsibility for determining objectives and designing appropriate learning experiences. Requirements for the Certificate of Advanced Study include:
1. A Master's Degree in Counseling,
2. Acquisition of thirty-six credit hours beyond the Master's Degree,
3. Completion of the certificate within five years,
4. Maintenance of a 3.00 GPA.
