Requirements for Admission to Graduate Studies for the Degree of Master of Arts
An undergraduate major in French or equivalent. Satisfactory scores on the general (aptitude) Graduate Record Examinations.
Minimum Degree Requirements
Twenty-four credits of course work which may include a Graduate Humanities Seminar (HUMN 300, HUMN 301 or HUMN 395) and EDSC 259 (Teaching Foreign Language in the Schools). In addition, six credits of directed research, with the following options:
Option A: Thesis research (six credits)
Option B: Two research papers (six credits)
Candidates must pass an examination in four areas of their study.
