Plant Biology (Bachelor of Arts)
General Requirements
Specific Requirements
BCOR 011/BCOR 012, BCOR 101;PBIO 104; CHEM 031/CHEM 032, CHEM 141/CHEM 142*; MATH 019/MATH 020 or MATH 021/MATH 022; STAT 141, STAT 211, or NR 140 and PHYS 011/PHYS 021 or PHYS 031/PHYS 021.
*Students desiring an especially strong foundation in Chemistry may instead enroll in the equivalent courses for Chemistry majors: CHEM 035/CHEM 036, CHEM 143/CHEM 144.
Students must also complete the requirements for one of the following concentrations:
General Plant Biology Concentration:
BCOR 102, PBIO 108 and PBIO 109, plus at least eighteen credits (including at least two 200-level plant biology courses) selected in consultation with the student’s advisor.
Ecology and Evolutionary Biology of Plants Concentration:
BCOR 102, PBIO 108, PBIO 109, plus at least fifteen credits (including at least two 200-level plant biology courses) selected in consultation with the student’s advisor.
Plant Molecular Biology Concentration:
PBIO 185/PBIO 187 or BIOC 205, BIOC 206, and BIOC 207, MMG 101, BCOR 103, plus at least twelve credits (including at least two 100- or 200-level plant biology courses) selected in consultation with the student’s advisor.
