Specific Requirements

A total of thirty-six credits (twelve courses) are required for the major:

1. Core (twelve credits): WGST 073, WGST 101, WGST 273, and WGST 191 or WGST 192
2. Electives (nine credits): One additional race/ethnicity class beyond the college’s requirement, one additional non-European culture course beyond the college’s requirement and any one course in fine arts or humanities cross-listed with Women's and Gender Studies
3. Concentration (fifteen credits): An individually designed concentration consisting of five approved Women's and Gender Studies electives, at least four of which are at or above the 100-level
