This course serves as an introduction to the profession and the importance of becoming an advocate for children (0 - 6) experiencing diversity of ability, culture and or language.

Designing and implementing services and supports for young children with diverse abilities. Topics include IEP/IFSP, embedding instruction, family-centered, and inclusion. 3 credits, 4 with 30-hour field experience. Pre/co-requisites: ECSP 202 and ECSP 211.

ECSP 211 - Assessment in EI/ECSE
Overview of the strengths and limitations of traditional and nontraditional assessments; legal responsibilities, eligibility, family, and cultural aspects. 3 credits, 4 with 30-hour field experience. Pre/co-requisites: Completion or co-enrollment in ECSP 202 for undergraduates.
