The Morgan Horse farm main building dates to the late 1800s
Morgan Horse Farm
What happens here – Visitors flock to this National Historic Site in Weybridge where Col. Justin Battell began breeding these "truly American" horses in the late 1800s. Designated as a National Historic Site, the farm is also home to significant Morgan history and a variety of educational programs. The farm provides educational experiences and training for students and visitors while perpetuating the Battell, Government, and UVM bloodlines. UVM Morgans are prized as superb pleasure horses for recreational use and as foundation broodstock.
