Aiken Center for Natural Resources
What happens here – Aiken serves as home to the university's Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. The building is abuzz with students working in its many specialized research facilities in the Aiken Center including a GIS (geographic information system), grow chambers and an aquatic species laboratory, as well as the school's offices and classrooms. The Rubenstein school's reach exceeds this homebase: Hands-on experimentation and learning occurs around the state and at the university's many natural areas.
