Burlington International Airport is located 3.5 miles from campus. Major airlines include United, Continental, USAirways, JetBlue, American, Delta and Northwest. Burlington is served by Vermont Transit Bus Lines. Amtrak travels to Essex Junction, just 15 minutes from campus.
Lake Champlain Ferries run regularly between New York and Vermont on three different routes Essex, N.Y.–Charlotte, Vt.; Port Kent, N.Y.–Burlington, Vt.; or Plattsburgh, N.Y.–Grand Isle, Vt.

From I-89 North or South: Take Exit 14W. Proceed 1 mile west on Route 2 (Williston Road, which becomes Main Street) to campus.
From north or south on Route 7: Enter Burlington from either direction. Turn onto Main Street (Route 2 East). Go uphill one light to South Prospect Street.
From the Adirondack Northway (I-87): Take Exit 20. Proceed north on Route 9 to Route 149, headed to Fort Ann, N.Y. In Fort Ann, take Route 4 North to Route 22A in Vermont. Follow Route 22A through Vergennes, then follow Route 7 North into Burlington. Turn right onto Main Street (Route 2 East). Go uphill one light to South Prospect Street.
From Burlington International Airport: From airport grounds, turn left onto Airport Drive. At next stoplight, turn right onto Williston Road/Route 2 West. Drive 4–5 miles west to UVM campus, at top of hill. (Williston Road becomes Main Street.)

From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road up hill (Williston Road becomes Main Street). At the intersection of Main and South Prospect streets, turn left. The Admissions Office is located one block south. It is a red building set back with parking on the side.
From Route 7 North: Follow Shelburne Road/Route 7 into Burlington. At rotary, bear right onto South Willard Street/Route 7. Travel less than 1 mile to intersection with Main Street (Route 2); turn right onto Main Street. Head uphill to Prospect Street; take right onto South Prospect Street. The Admissions Office is located one block south. It is a red building set back on the left with parking on the side.
From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road up hill. Turn right onto South Prospect Street. Take first left onto College Street. Take first left into visitor parking lot. Waterman and the Graduate College are across the street from the parking lot, at College and South Prospect streets.
From Route 7 North: Follow Shelburne Road/Route 7 into Burlington. At rotary, bear right onto South Willard Street/Route 7. Travel less than 1 mile to intersection with Main Street (Route 2). Continue on South Willard Street one more block to College Street; turn right onto College. Just past South Williams Street, take right into visitors' parking lot.

From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Stay in far-right lane. Just past Sheraton and stop light, bear right at East Avenue/Spear Street exit, in lane for Spear Street. Take immediate left around jug handle, go through traffic light, which will take you onto Spear Street. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to second Patrick Gym entrance on right. The field is located to the left of the Gutterson Fieldhouse.
From Route 7 North: Follow Route 7 North from Shelburne. Just past Denny's Restaurant and just before reaching Burlington, take 189 East. Travel approximately one mile to I-89 North. Continue using directions as above, from I-89 (Exit 14W is the second exit upon entering I-89 North).
Bailey/Howe Library is located in the center of the main campus, behind Royall Tyler Theatre and University Row. Limited Visitors' Parking is available near the Bookstore (see directions, below). Additional Visitors' Parking is available in the main Visitors' Parking Lot, across from the Waterman administration building (see directions to Visitors' Parking, below). The main lot is located on the opposite side of the UVM Green from University Row.
Use the footpath across the Green to reach Royall Tyler Theatre. The Bailey/Howe Library is located behind the theatre, just past the UVM Bookstore.

From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Stay in far-right lane. Just past Sheraton and stop light, bear right at East Avenue/Spear Street exit, onto East Avenue. After a 1/2 mile, make a right onto University Road (approximately 100 yards before traffic light). University Road will take you to Centennial Field.
From Route 7 North: Follow Route 7 North from Shelburne. Just past Denny's Restaurant and just before reaching Burlington, take 189 East. Travel approximately one mile to I-89 North. Continue using directions as above, from I-89 (Exit 14W is the second exit upon entering I-89 North).
From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road up hill. At the intersection of Main and South Prospect streets, turn left. The Continuing Education/Evening University offices are located approximately 1/2 mile south on the left, at 322 South Prospect. Parking is in the back.
From Route 7 North: Follow Shelburne Road/Route 7 into Burlington. At rotary, bear right onto South Willard Street/Route 7. Approximately 1/4 mile to first four-way stop, turn right onto Cliff Street. Head uphill to end of Cliff; take left onto South Prospect Street. The Continuing Education/Evening University offices are located approximately 1/8 mile north on the right, at 322 South Prospect. Parking is in the back.
From I-89: Take Exit 14 W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road (US-2). Just past the Sheraton, veer right onto East Avenue and follow signs to the hospital by turning left onto Carrigan Drive. Stay straight through the next light (intersection with Beaumont Drive). When Carrigan Drive ends, turn left (around the rotary). Turn right into the Davis Center oval.
From Route 7 North: Follow Shelburne Road/Route 7 into Burlington. At rotary, bear right onto South Willard Street/Route 7. Travel less than one mile to the intersection with Main Street (US-2); turn right onto Main Street. Head uphill past the University Green until you reach Spear Street on your right; turn right onto Spear Street. Take an immediate left around the jughandle and continue straight through the light onto East Avenue. Follow signs to the hospital and turn left onto Carrigan Drive. Stay straight through the next light (intersection with Beaumont Drive). When Carrigan Drive ends, turn left (around rotary). Turn right into the Davis Center oval.
Heading west from I-89 on Williston Road, bear right onto Spear Street/East Avenue exit; stay in right lane for East Avenue. Go several blocks to second stoplight; take left onto Colchester Avenue. At stoplight, take left into Fletcher Allen Health Care. At stop sign, turn right; take first right into Fleming Museum visitor parking lot.
Parking is available weekdays in the visitors' lot between the Fleming Museum and Fletcher Allen Health Care and on weekends in the university lot on the west side of the museum. For weekday evening events, free parking is available behind the offices at 46-48 and 50-52 Colchester Ave., opposite the museum.
From East Avenue, turn onto Carrigan Drive. At the first stop light, turn right onto Beaumont Avenue. Take the next left turn into the Given parking lot near the water tower. Enter the Given Building through the Health Science Research Facility (HSRF). Take the steps down to the first floor and walk into the Given building (the College of Medicine Dean's Office will be on your left). Follow that hallway to the next hallway on the left. Carpenter Auditorium will be immediately on the right.
From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington, stay in right lane for East Avenue. At the next traffic signal, turn left onto Carrigan Drive. Proceed straight through the next traffic signal at Beaumont Drive. Take next left after the water tower. Visitor parking is at the parking meters on the left. The Living/Learning Center is a short walk away, across Main Street. Use the pedestrian crossing signal at Main Street/University Heights.
From Route 7 North: Follow Route 7 North from Shelburne. Just past Denny's Restaurant and just before reaching Burlington, take 189 East. Travel approximately one mile to I-89 North. Continue using directions as above, from I-89 (Exit 14W is the second exit upon entering I-89 North).
From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road up hill. At the intersection of Main and South Prospect streets, turn left. Travel approximately 3/4 mile to Redstone Campus. Just past the three-way stop at Cliff Street, take first left into Redstone Campus. Loop around field on one-way drive, past Music Building and Southwick Hall, to Visitors' Parking behind Blundell House (ALANA Student Center).
From Route 7 North: Follow Shelburne Road/Route 7 into Burlington. At rotary, bear right. Approximately 1/4 mile to first four-way stop, turn right onto Cliff Street. Head uphill to end of Cliff; take right onto South Prospect Street. Take immediate left into Redstone Campus. Loop around field on one-way drive, past Music Building and Southwick Hall, to Visitors' Parking behind Blundell House (ALANA Student Center).

Royall Tyler Theatre is located on the east edge of the UVM Green (University Place), two buildings from Main Street. Parking for Royall Tyler Theatre events is at the top of College Street, just west of South Prospect Street. Park either in the Visitors' Parking Lot (no fee after 5 p.m. or weekends) or in the parking lot across the street, behind the Waterman administration building. Both lots are located on the opposite side of the UVM Green from the Royall Tyler Theatre. Use the footpath across the Green to reach the theatre.

The UVM Farms include the Paul Miller Research Complex (Dairy Farm and Horse Barn) on Spear Street in South Burlington; the Horticultural Research Center (Hort Farm and Apple Orchard) on Green Mountain Drive in South Burlington; the Morgan Horse Farm in Weybridge; and the Proctor Maple Research Center in Underhill.
From I-89/Williston Road: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road; merge into right-most lane to take jughandle exit to Spear Street. Head south on Spear Street past athletics complexes and fields; research complex will be about one-quarter mile on your left.
Site of UVM's spring Commencement, UVM's Green is a large, tree-filled green space located in the heart of campus between University Place and South Prospect streets.
From I-89: Take Exit 14W into Burlington. Head west on Williston Road up hill. Turn right onto South Prospect Street (the Green will be on your right). Take first left onto College Street. Take first left into visitor parking lot.
From Route 7 North: Follow Shelburne Road/Route 7 into Burlington. At rotary, bear right onto South Willard Street/Route 7. Travel less than 1 mile to intersection with Main Street (Route 2). Continue on South Willard Street one more block to College Street; turn right onto College, the Green will be straight ahead where College Street ends. Just past South Williams Street, take right into visitors' parking lot.
The Visitors' Parking Lot is located on College Street, across the street from the Waterman administration building. Parking is paid, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and free after 6 p.m., and on weekends and holidays.
