Leisure and Activity Sites

Dudley H. Davis Student Center

Dudley H. Davis Student Center

As the true campus crossroads, the Davis Center boasts great food, stores, events and hang-out space for all students. Students participated in the design and vision of their center, and as a result it's a comfortable campus living room. It's a common sight to see UVM folks grabbing a bite to eat, running an errand, stopping by the many student activity offices located in the building, playing pool, lounging on the building's green roof or reading by a fireplace. What's better is the Davis Center is a socially conscious building, reflected in its values and its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification in green design. UVM was committed to leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible when building the DC.

Libraries and Research Facilities

Bailey-Howe Library

Bailey-Howe Library

UVM's main library is the largest collection in Vermont. Students and faculty are seen working together in small groups, conducting independent research, or studying over coffee in the library's Cyber Cafe. Bailey-Howe features an extensive online collection, UVM's Center for Teaching and Learning, a media center, special collections and government documents.

Residence Halls

Christie Wright Patterson Complex

Christie Wright Patterson Complex

Almost 400 students live in Christie Wright Patterson's three halls. Students dwell in either single, double or triple rooms. Three kitchens in each building make it a great hall for two of the special interest communities located here: Health & Wellness Residential Learning and the Wright Start.
