Field days: dates and locations

2007 Field Days

Some counties are leading field trips in unassigned blocks to pass on atlassing tips and birding skills. Please contact your county coordinator for more information. Dates and locations are posted here in advance, as they are announced.

Windsor County
Saturday May 5
Hartland 6 block. Expect to be doing general birding as well as atlassing and anticipate seeing some spring migrants. To facilitate carpooling on both dates, participants can leave vehicles either at my place in Norwich (departing there at 7:00 AM) or at the commuter parking lot on the south corner of the Exit 9 intersection of I-91 and Route 5 in Hartland (about 7:20 AM). [Use Route 4 and then 12 to reach Route 5 if coming from the Woodstock area to the commuter lot.] If there should be steady precipitation for the morning, we'll cancel with regrets, but we'll go ahead in the case of just isolated showers.
