North American Ornithological Atlas Committee (NORAC)
This organization conducts the overall coordination of Atlases throughout North America. Their website provides a full description of the history and purpose of breeding bird atlases.

The Vermont Bird Records Committee keeps track of rare bird sightings in the state. See what's been spotted, or submit your own observation.

Vermont eBird
Birding with a purpose! Submit your birding observations into a national database, and see what others birds are finding in an area or during a time period. Includes the Vermont checklist and forms for reporting rare species.

The Cornell Lab or Ornithology has accounts for many species with tons of information, plus info about bird feeding, citizen science, birding equipment, you name it!

Includes contact information for local Vermont chapters.

The North American Bird Conservation Initiative (NABCI)
This project was developed to unify and coordinate all of the different bird conservation programs throughout North America. We hope the Atlas will contribute to the information used in this effort to prioritize bird conservation areas.
