UVM Student Research Conference

Default

Thursday, April 17, 2008
Dudley H. Davis Student Center

Conference Purpose & Rationale

The UVM Student Research Conference will showcase the research and scholarly activity of undergraduate and graduate students across the campus, acknowledge and thank their mentors, and celebrate UVM colleges, schools, and programs that sponsor and support student research. All students working on a research or creative project with a University of Vermont faculty member are eligible to present some aspect of their research at this forum. Research and creative projects at any stage of completion are welcome. The Conference is intended to coordinate, not supplant, the many student presentation processes already underway at the University. The anticipated audience will include UVM students, faculty and staff and the wider community. The event also will serve as a resource for students who are not yet involved with research and who wish to learn about how to engage in research pursuits. The Conference is designed as a pilot project that may become an annual event.
