Our management goal is to have in place a small,
effective bi-state Sea Grant program that contributes to the sustainable
use of the lake, its resources and its watersheds. A Board of
Directors, composed of representatives of the partner universities,
the University of Vermont and SUNY Plattsburgh, and key partner
organizations, oversees LCSG operations. LCSG outreach and research
activities follow an implementation plan developed with input
from a Program Advisory Committee drawn from basin residents,
stakeholder groups, local officials, planners, and research institutions.
Because we are a small program, we seek to excel in areas where
our strengths can bear on specific but unmet needs. We work in
a network of partnerships to strengthen our outreach capabilities
and to leverage additional resources. LCSG management provides
support and direction to LCSG staff, and ensures that we work
in collaboration with our partner organizations, and we remain
outcome oriented, effective and responsive to the needs of our
clients.
