CHAMPLAIN CANAL

Our on-going Champlain Canal Barrier Feasibility Project will help us identify and evaluate the feasibility of various canal barrier options that will limit the entry of exotic species to Lake Champlain via the canal, which links Lake Champlain with the Great Lakes. The project will document the economic impact of the introduction of aquatic nuisance species, and, with stakeholder input, will identify and evaluate potential barrier solutions.
