Kathy is an associate professor of art at the University of Vermont where she teaches introductory and advanced level classes in digital art.
She creates interactive multimedia installations that function as feminist commentaries on modern culture. She uses humor, amateurism and a combination of high and low technologies to probe the psychological and cultural constructions of identity.
Kathy has exhibited widely in the United States. Her work has been exhibited at Siggraph LA, Ciber@rts -Bilbao, Spain and New Forms festival in Vancouver, Canada. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York and Light Work in Syracuse, New York and is an alumni member of A.I.R in NYC. Kathy has just published an article about her installation Bird Watching in the journal Leonardo.
