1. The first screen you will see is the login screen. You must be registered to use the SIA toolset. If you would like to be registered or have your students registered, please contact  Joyce.Morris@uvm.edu

You will have access to more resources if you are a registered user and any work you submit will be saved to the system.

2. Your user name is usually your first and last name.  I have assigned all of you a password that I will give you in class.
These are NOT case sensitive and there is a space between your first and last name.

3. On the right you will see the applications available to all members of SIA. We are going to the special tools for UVM page.

On the left menu is a folder, School Directories. Select this and on the right you will see a list of school categories. Click on the Triangle to expand a list.

Select the link for the University of Vermont.

This will bring you to another login page. Just click registered user and you will enter UVM's site on SIA.

4. These are the applications that are currently on the UVM site and we will be using TALK@SCHOOL for our discussions in this course.  More applications will be coming shortly and I will advise all when they are available.

5. Talk@School is meant for discussions within UVM but please let me know if you are interested in setting up discussion with your students and the greater educational community in Vermont.

6. The only Topic there right now is Electronic Portfolios. Remember to click on the triangle to open the folder.

To include a document or picture in your response, click on the BROWSE button until you find that file on your hard drive. It's like sending an attachment.
