Task

Fact or Fiction...sorting out the truth through inquiry-based learning.

Since this is currently a controversial issue in Vermont, your task is to look at different perspectives and to create a presentation from the point of view you self-select to convince others of your beliefs.  Present this to your group, discuss this others in your group to develop a consensus using a group blog. Once a consensus is formed, as a group, you will write a recommendation as an editorial to the Burlington Free Press or your local newspaper about your position.  Before you can do that, you will have to learn some basic information about wolves and their impact on other areas and then explore different perspectives that individuals may have based on their customs, beliefs, philosophy and roles in our Green Mountain State.

Your first task is as group to learn some basic information about wolves. How big are they? How long do they live? How much do they eat? Do they eat people? What is their role in the life cycle and balance of nature? How are they like dogs? How are they different than dogs? How long have they been on earth? Why are there so many fables depicting wolves as evil?
