UNIX (zoo) Tutorial
You can connect to zoo through telnet and edit and browse your web pages
directly, without using Netscape, Netscape Composer or FTP!
To connect to zoo using telnet in Windows:
- find and double click on the "Telent to Zoo" icon if you have one,
or,
- go to Start: Run and then in the dialog box type: telnet zoo.uvm.edu,
or,
- start the program SSH Secure Shell, click the connect button and connect
to zoo.uvm.edu
To connect to zoo from a Mac:
- find and double click on the "Telent to Zoo" icon, or
- find and double click the "Better Telnet" icon, or
- start the program MacSSH and connect to zoo.uvm.edu.
If you cannot find telnet on your computer, you can download a telnet
program from the UVM Software Archive at
http://www.uvm.edu/software
