DME is a group of musicians who perform live instrumental accompaniment to silent films. They have performed to thrilling effect at the Kennedy Center, Chicago Cultural Center, Dallas Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and more. On the Lane Series, they’ll perform their latest project — a live music performance with an amazing and virtually unknown classic silent Chinese Kung Fu film called Red Heroine (directed by Wen Yimin, 1929). The performance consists of a projection of this amazing film accompanied by a new original soundtrack performed live by the DME.
