Activity # 1: Understanding various disabilities.

Step 1. Identify one disability category you wish to learn more about.

Step 2. Meet with your cooperating teacher or special educator and discuss more extensively about the specific disability. Collect relevant information. You may use the library or search the internet (a great search engine is: www.google.com).

Step 3. Identify (if any) students in your classroom who are diagnosed with the disability you chose to further explore.
