  1. Contact your group members for the Group Critical Analysis presentation and Practice, Prepare your Persuasive Presentation.
  2. Bring Flash Drive (2+ Gigs) to lab when you present.
  3. Check Syllabus speaking schedule for when you are presenting and your lab role.

Tips From TAs:

  1. Follow the Critique Sheets!
  2. Objectives must say how the audience will be changed: "I'm going to talk to you about rock climbing" is NOT an objective.  "After my presentation you will know the basics of rock climbing" is an objective.
  3. Restate must knows must be SPECIFIC.
  4. Have a STRONG ENDING separate from the restate must knows.
  5. PAUSE FOR EFFECT!
  6. DRESS - conservative & more formal than usual.
  7. It is YOUR responsibility to set up the technology - not the TAs.  Set up BEFORE lab starts.
  8. Lab Roles
  9. Everyone is expected to arrive early and stay the whole time - go to the bathroom before lab.
  10. Source any facts that are not common knowledge.
  11. Repeat questions asked at the end of your presentation.

   2. Research your topic

Detailed outline
   4. 
Mind Map second draft
   5. Presentation outline (big font, one sheet)
   6. Practice at least three times in front of friends and get feedback
   7. GIVE YOUR PRESENTATION 
   8. View your presentation, read peer evaluations, reflect
   9. Write your reflection paper
  10. Assemble your reflection folder: Reflection Folder Checklist folder is due at the beginning of lab the following week.  Here's an example of the Contents of the Reflection Folder.
