Tips From TAs:
- Follow the Critique Sheets!
- Objectives
much say how the audience will be changed: "I'm going to talk to you
about rock climbing" is NOT an objective. "After my presentation you
will know the basics of rock climbing" is an objective.
- Restate must knows must be SPECIFIC.
- Have a STRONG ENDING separate from the restate must knows.
- PAUSE FOR EFFECT!
- DRESS - conservative & more formal than usual.
- It is YOUR responsibility to set up the technology - not the TAs. Set up BEFORE lab starts.
- Lab Roles
- Everyone is expected to arrive early and stay the whole time - go to the bathroom before lab.
- Source any facts that are not common knowledge.
- Repeat questions asked at the end of your presentation.
