Profile
I graduated last year with a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Vermont (UVM). My undergraduate studies, also at UVM, were in "Computer Science and Information Systems" — a double major in Computer Science and Business — with a minor in Mathematics.
Because I'm obsessively organized (as anyone who knows me will testify), I've provided the wealth of notes, schedules, and even poetic proofs of language theorems, here on this site in the "Learning" sction.
Presently I'm working for a university in Boston, developing a variety of web applications, most of which you'll never see. I work primarily in PHP, though skills in Java, .NET, and some ancient C++ are tucked away at the back of my mind.
For details on some of the projects I take on in my spare time (most back in college, but some more recent than that) visit the "Working" section of this site.
Here are some ten-second details that don't fit anywhere on this site:
- I've had a Ham Radio license since back when "Technician" was still a valid class. I can copy Morse Code at about 13 words per minute. I do not overestimate the practical value of this skill.
- I can claim to play the piano if we limit the definition of the word "play" to include only those songs I already knew when I stopped taking lessons. I haven't tried learning a new piece in several years. Can I interest you in a little Moonlight Sonata?
