Accommodation, Consultation, Collaboration & Educational Support Services

Part of Academic Support Programs , ACCESS provides Accommodations, Consultation, Collaboration and Educational Support Services as a means to foster opportunities for Students with Disabilities to participate in a barrier-free learning environment. ACCESS serves as a resource to the University of Vermont and larger community to advocate for a diverse learning community, educational equity and innovation.

The University of Vermont and ACCESS are committed to providing services that will enable students who qualify under Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act and the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act to participate fully in the activities of the University. ACCESS serves students with all types of documented disabilities, such as physical, learning, hearing, visual, or psychiatric disabilities, attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorders, chronic illnesses, and brain injuries. Services are confidential and available at no charge.
